Inspired by the crazy and beautiful side of mental disorders, I was trying to achieve unusual and wild beauty and give audience a optimistic vision to what had been passively seen. This collection explores concept in two directions: the illusion perspective created by people who have mental disorder like OCD- camouflage text, melting metal and glitchy art effects; and playful looks of brain and nerves- exploding brain, twist mind.
Japan’s leading digital printer brand, Mimaki is expanding globally as a pioneer in the development of digital printing and cutting products. To bring passion, unexpectation and personality back to Mimaki LA Office, I focused the design of Mimaki future showroom around the concept of unusual beauty. Mimaki Future Showroom attempted to show a variety of printed substrates that created by Mimaki products in a comtemporary environment - including textiles, wallcovering, floor, glass and other hard surfaces.
